Rosalyn Skiffington JD, MEng, BASc

Rosalyn first joined Buset LLP as a summer student followed by her practice placement in 2022. She was called to the bar in Ontario in October 2023 and returned to the firm as an associate lawyer. Rosalyn’s areas of practice include construction litigation and insurance defence, as well as general litigation. She aims to bring a client-focused approach to her practice.

Rosalyn holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in mechanical engineering from the University of Ottawa. She returned home to Thunder Bay to complete her juris doctor degree at Lakehead University’s Bora Laskin Faculty of Law with a specialization in Aboriginal and Indigenous Law. During her time in law school, Rosalyn participated in advocacy competitions and served as a director of the Law Students’ Society.

Growing up in Northern Ontario instilled a profound love for the outdoors in Rosalyn. She enjoys rock climbing and mountain biking in the summer and downhill skiing and ice climbing in the winter.
