Kristi graduated from Lakehead University with a Bachelor of Arts before obtaining her LLB from the University of Manitoba in 1997. Upon her return to Northwestern Ontario, Kristi was called to the Bar of the Province of Ontario in 1999.

Kristi has practiced in various areas of law at Buset LLP throughout her career including residential and commercial real estate, development law, commercial financing transactions and general litigation. Her current focus is in the areas of family law, real estate, wills and estates. Kristi has more than 23 years of experience offering practical solutions to clients experiencing the challenges of separation and divorce, the death of a loved one, or the purchase or sale of their family home.

Kristi is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, Law Society of Ontario, and the Thunder Bay Law Association. She has served as a Board Member of the Thunder Bay Law Association and was part of the Continuing Legal Education Committee organizing the annual fall program to bring professional development to local lawyers here in their community. Kristi served for 9 years on the Board of Children’s Centre Thunder Bay, including as President and Past-President.
